I made me smile and stomp my feet...something I can't say from his latest
release (I miss the punch and heavy grooves a la Get Off,319 or Electric chair) but I know that when he performs the songs always sound much better!

That's why I don't care anymore if I like or dislike his latest albums(I loved 3121!),
4 more than 20 years he gave me so much pleasure with his music and he IS still the best live...maybe even better than be4.

It also shows that it's important 2 do tv performances once in a while,
not because I want him 2 have hits like in the old days but because it just shows people that he's still around and 4 us,the fans, it's great 2 see him perform some new material.

This band is pretty tight, but Ive always liked Cora. And the more I hear Josh the more I realize that he's pretty talented in his own right (although not as talented as his woman).

Liv looked a little better this time. Last time I saw her on TV she looked kinda scary. The camera guy liked Elisa.

And the one chick in back of Prince with the long straight brown hair and cut up pants was hot. I wonder if P & Bria took them all back to their hotel with them?

Did anyone recognize that Prince did that "all day, all night"-chant during "controversy" already in 1986? Maybe even earlier?
He did it on the Minnesota Music Awards, that's for sure.
But it's gr8 to hear that again, since it was mentioned in the latest setlists. Can't wait to hear his full versions of this song.

Sometimes I am really depressed by Prince's output of the past 15 years, and even the concert at grand Palais which I attended left me with very mixed feelings (he was on "Elvis Vegas mode" as I noted in an earlier post)

But now that sort of performance reminds me why I love this guy so much and lose so much time on him!

His performance on rythmic guitar is one of the best ever (listen to what he does on 1999, and believe me I have heard hundreds of different versions)

Special message to BVH who labelled this as "crap": either you do not have ears or you have a personal problem. I already knew the latter was true, but I am now wondering about the former....(this from a fan like myself who if anything would also fall in the camp of the "haters")
