It's hilarious... watching those who think Prince reached his expiration date 15 years ago... yet here they are still hanging around to eat and drink every bit of that rancid shit. [Edited 10/21/09 17:11pm]

i know where you're coming from but his prime was 20 years ago isn't it hard to better yourself 20 years on from your best, i mean who has bettered their best 20 years down the line, P's a different person now, back then he was young freaky and angry now he's middle aged, give him a break eh! i'm sure if he thought he could be better he would be. ![]() I get this because I am only three years younger than P; yet the old P would have never included those two "lotus" songs that he did on the lotusflow3r CD that were pure junk as far as I am concerned, they were below par for him - way below par and he should not have even bothered to record them in the first place never mind INCLUDE them on a 3 CD package. Lotusflow3r is my least favorite of the 19 releases that I own of his. The lyrics are sophmoric for a man that could write Little Red Corvette over 20 years ago. He's 51 not 81 and I think his brain is still half-way good. I feel like what ernest says is true, he doesn't live up to his own standard so to speak. Maybe he isn't the perfectionist he use to be. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

To finish on a good note. Lotusflower has links to French newspapers Le monde, par example, for good reviews about the recent Lotus fueled concerts. "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -

You would be right, wouldn't you! Seriously, it would have been hard to find positive reviews in the French press of lotusboooooriiiiing. They were positive about the shows though!
