please could anybody let me know if prince actually wtote waterfalls by tlc , as i am pretty sure he refered to it in various concerts in the mid 90's and asked the crowd to tell him who wrote the forementioned track , please could someone enlighten me on this subject.

I've heard this rumour, too, and I must say if you listen to the track - ESPECIALLY the horns (so NPG Hornz-sounding) - it sounds as if the little fella composed it. He's not credited, though.
If he didn't compose it, I like to think it was a Prince homage. Especially since 'Crazy Sexy Cool' includes a cover of 'If I Was Your Girlfriend'.

that's kinda funny cause like a month ago my mom was like...oh they play a prince song in my aerobics class...I forget what it's called but I'll ask...so a week or so later my mom says...I asked my teacher and she said, yes, it's a prince song called "waterfalls" LOL

he has written Wendy & Lisa's "Waterfalls"

i love the tlc cover of 'if i was your girlfriend'. i actually think it's one of the better covers out there, of prince songs anyway. (sorry if you disagree...)

never heard about Prince writing "waterfalls" for Wendy&Lisa but He did have alot too do with the song for them called "2 Trip is 2 Fall".

From the 1st time that I heard it, I thought 4 sure tat it was Prince. I was shocked when I read the credits & his name wasn't there.

wendy plays a white guitar, sitting in a chair, she looks gorgeous, i love the way she pulls faces. lisa play a big piano that is filled with water (where are the strings ?). there are also some shots of water flying through the sky. i loved the video because of wendy !

I don't like T-Boz's voice AT ALL I don't know why ppl rave about it. Chilli on the other hand have a bad ass voice even tho its not powerful, hell at least she can sing. T-Boz sounds alot like she just woke up.

Well, I just looked at my shooting schedule for "Waterfalls" YES, it says "Waterfalls" and there is no mention of Prince on anything. And I do not remember any mention of Prince during the shoot. We shot it over several days at Falls Lake @ Universal Studios in CA. Same lake that Jim Carey sailed his boat on at the end of "The Truman Show". Here is a little tidbit. The girlz were brought in 3 hrs. early to do their hair , makeup & wardrobe. But, they were all sweetheartz and Chili came up and gave everyone hugs when we were done.

Dallas Austin didn't write "Waterfalls". It's a co-write: Organized Noize and Marqueze Etheridge with Left Eye writing her rap.

It's no secret the song is very Princely, often compared to "Money Don't Matter 2Nite". It's excellent nonetheless.

I love T's speaking voice, deep and yes sexy but its not a good singing voice at all. She can be good when it comes to singing a rock record((Yeah, a rocker)) or an 80's early funk((She nailed Get It Up)). But the sistah can't sing an RnB tune at all, Chilli on the other hand have a very good singing voice and I think its totaly unfair that they had to throw her ass in the back.
