Promotion ideas for the LOTUS album?

Since Prince isnt done promoting the new album, what are sum ideas on how to promote it? I think he should make another appearance on Saturday Night Live. He's already went on leno, ellen and Tavis.

I think all he needs to do is:

-get some decent songs

-re-record the whole album

-dump Bria

That should do the trick!!! razz

He could do something crazy like release it worldwide or bring out a single make a video and then give to radio/tv so people can actually hear it!

The only way to keep it coming off the shelves is to give away a free copy of SOTT with it.

I almost broke my brains over this question, but i finally got an idea:

He could launch a special website for his fans in support of the album and add new and unreleased stuff to that site - like every 2 weeks. He also could offer new music for exclusive sale over that site, or - he sure will do a world tour if he wants to promote his new album - he could pre-sell his fans better tickets at lower prices at that site. Ok, it would have to be well-crafted, like not toooo much fancy grafx and easy to navigate, most important, it needs to be quick. And it should hold all Prince related updates for his fans to have a reason to check back to the site at least once a day.

I'm damn sure everybody would LOVE that site and visit it frequently.
And i even could imagine a lot of folks paying for it, like a yearly membership fee, without hesitating.

Mr. Prince, if you're interested in making use of my creativity, innovative style of business conceptions and intellectual brilliance, please contact me via orgnote. I'm pretty sure we could work out a good deal we both would profit from!

More TV shows are a good idea and they should be allowed on youtube.
Chocolate box video on music sites selling mp3s also good.
My itunes store has never heard of Lotusflower, biggrin yet I heard about it from the org. Radio and mtv I suppose for the younger generation. I wouldn't know how to promote without a record label doing the job.

The net though is where I do most of my shopping.

First of all, its not an album for the masses, even though he split the album into two three distinct musical efforts in a hail marry attempt to reach the most possible listeners.

MPLSOUND to me is an object of ridicule, seemingly intended for kids under 12 that like clunky old fashioned kiddie pop from a Prince impersonator from an Eastern Block nation.

Lotusflow3r is too esoteric, other than Dreamer & Colonized Mind, you have to be a hard core fan that likes to herd the cats of Prince's whims.

This is not a mainstream release, he should just be overjoyed with the so-so response and let it be.

I meant that it's marketed as such, but as diverse as he tried to be, the music really isn't.

MPLSound for 12 year olds??? I was thinking he recorded it with the 80's sound for us old timers in our late 30's and early 40's.
