How About if Prince Reworked Lotus/Mplsound? Hear me out....
Whilst I was listening to each album recently I got to think ing, how cool could it be if Prince thought laterally and completely turned the arrangements of Lotus and Mplsound on their head and offered them up as an addtional release.... What if Prince did a 'pro tools' version of Lotus/ and a live band reworking of Mplsound... i.e. invert the recording process for each release we presently have has so that there are two official versions of each? I don't think this kinda thing has been done before and, given prince's versatility and diversity, hearing both albums with alternate styles could be a matster stroke..... Thoughts ? I love my Lotus exactly as is!
As for MPLS, that would be interesting..... Prince is a musician not a lifestyle.

As for MPLS, that would be interesting..... agreed, so do I. I wouldn't wanna see replacements of the releases we already have , just pondering the thought of what each track from both albums might sound like with different production. Hypothetical question/ not suggesting the albums dfon't work as they stand...

[Edited 9/5/09 7:18am] It's been done: NERD's first album is available in two versions, one primarily sequencers and synths, the other with the band Sexmob. That doesn't mean it wouldn't be an interesting experiment for Prince to undertake, of course, but personally I'd rather he takes some time to write some new stuff and move on.

Didn't realise Nerd had done this....wonder how it was received... I'm more than happy for new stuff. Just started the post having thought about the europen push of Lotus, the remix Dance 4 Me etc.

I like it all the way it is. Thank You. Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.
