Wow...this seems to be a universally-loved song! I for one don't quite know how to feel about it. The groove is pretty funky (though not irresistibly so, IMO), but the lyrics are a bit too dogmatic and they detract from my enjoyment of the song...which is ironic for me to say, since I am a big TRC fan!

I dunno...as a whole, the song really does nothing for me.

Well, for me, the dogma part I interpret in my own way. Avoiding 'the spiders' and such can come from within, it doesn't have to be Biblical.

I LOVE TRC also, the music is great as are his vocals. I don't have to believe the religious stuff he was pushing, but that doesn't make me enjoy it any less.
