Biggest Physical Workout On Stage In One Song

Biggest Physical Workout On Stage In One Song:

I just watched Diamonds and Pearls Live in London 1992 Earls Court and I was at several of his shows from that tour and I have to say, the PHYSICAL WORKOUT, jumping, dancing, singing, guitar, choreography, timing, number of times he does the splits, up and down, up side down all in one track. I have to say I can't think of one track where he does it all SO intensely all in:

DADDY POP....

Comments? Contenders? Watch it, and it will remind you of the level of fitness and dancing, singing guitar playing timing, performance that few artists have ever pulled off. MJ is of course a known on stage perfectionist and he is well known for "BEING IN THE MOMENT" every second he is on stage. I have to say though, even though Diamonds and Pearls is far from my favorite tour of Prince's (far too busy for me), I am so impressed with how IN THE MOMENT, and focussed he was at those shows. He was intent of being the best entertainer on stage during his time and I don't think anyone could touch him at that time.

I've never seen what you're speakin of but another physical workout that immediately comes to mind is the "Beautiful Night" performance from "Sign O The Times Live - The Movie - 1987".
I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh

I've always thought of "Baby I'm A Star" from the Purple Rain Tour. He was all over the stage with that one.
When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Yes agree on both of those. Beautiful Night has some of his most intense energic performing as well... I agree, same with Baby I'm A Star... But honestly check it out sometime if you have the means. Its outta here..

A couple of my favorite performances that features a lot of dancing is "Housequake" from the Sign 'O the Times movie and the "Do Me Baby/Posessed" sequence.

Not seen the D&P show but if its the similar to the Arsenio performance then I know what you mean, freakin awesome! There's a lot of humour in P's choreography which you see so rarely from anyone else...

Yeah I remember seeing him on the Diamonds And Pearls tour and he was still in his prime physically. Jumping off pianos, landing in the splits, acting out the Gett Off video complete with guitar work. It was and still is the most spectacular peformance I've ever seen or will see.

I still rate him live though. He remains the best live act in the world.

Also during , Controversy tour at the end of Head with the guitar when he simulates coming and licking the guitar head and licking his lips. My god no wonder people were falling out of their seats it was 1981 in America! I do t think until you actually see him on stage you really understand all the boundaries he has broken through. Some was pure shock value. Some was passion but all was talent and all was revolutionary. He fitness displays came later but when he put it all together. There are no words. I am still a fan rediscovering things about Princes career after over 25 years and am so glad I can share with you Orgers who understand and really appreciate it. I only wish I went to the 2002 Celebration week. Can't believe I missed that. Still I got to meet him and talk to him and be front row couple of times and witness an aftershow club performance. That memory means the world to me.
