Today in Birmingham Alabama 98.7 Urban Adult Radio "Better With Time was introduced as new Single from Prince DJ was very excited and it was great hearing Prince with a new song on the radio. BTW this song has potential for top ten at least

someone else posted earlier that they heard this song on the radio as well. I thought Dance 4 Me was the next single, or is that only in Europe? Could it be that he's actually going to try and promote this project?

Just because a song gets played on the radio doesn't mean it's a single (despite what the DJ calls it). He probably played it off of the CD and mistakenly referred to it as a new single. If there is no physical release to buy in the store or a digital release made available for download then technically it's not a single.

There certainly are radio only singles, and radio only singles can chart in the billboard hot 100.

Honestman I know the difference in a song being a single and not as a matter of fact the song has been edited for single format and the DJ who played it is a BIG Prince fan and bank on it song will be a big hit R&b ADULT

Definitely my least favorite song of the Prince disks. This is the only song I skip everytime. Wish he would get a clue as to what would grab more attention when it comes to releasing singles. I think this would be better as a third single but not a first for the overseas folk.

And the Birmingham AL music listening audience has shown their lack of enthusiasm and sophistication toward's music since Mix 106 got bought out back in the 90s, so it's like a Clear Channel wasteland out there, minus their superb public radio station (I have to give credit where credit is due).

But the if this is actually released as a single, Prince truly has lost touch with what makes a hit song. Of course, Prince may be still arrogantly thinking "why give them what they want when you can give them what they need.". And still, that song isn't particularly essential in his catalog.

Dance 4 Me is the obvious single.

'Dance 4 Me' is the obvious pop single, yes....but this might do well in the A/C market. Prince might be going for different markets all at once - IALRWNL on jazz radio, D4M on pop radio, this one on A/C radio....it's a smart gameplan if he can pull it off.

Some of you guys are still living in the 80"s Prince will never get Pop airplay in the USA look at all the singles he released since CREAM such as black sweat, cinnamon girl, te amo corazon etc.. pop is fickle matter of fact his number one song have came from urban adult "call my name" dance for me will do well in europe. I agree with "Dance4Me," being kind of a club hit, if I was to choose an American single for pop radio, I'd go with, "$."

There are other songs on the album I believe should be singles as well, just as in the past that didn't get the airplay they deserve.

I mean I heard it played more than once at the Saloon Club in Minneapolis, MN and this is a gay bar...the kids were hype about it too.
