awful song, terrible

i feel the song is supposed to be an r&B sommth groove.....but it's even WORSE than the average run-of-the-mill smoove r&b groove....there's sub-par and this tune is so below the "sub" part of sub-par that the sub above it needs 2 drop some depth-charges on it.

I kinda have always apperciated him and recognised his talent but really became a hardcore fan in 2007 and listended to most of his stuff withing 2 months and was literally listening, reading and living Prince for a year and wud defo put this up in my top 30 Prince tunes. I've been hardcore since '88 when Lovesexy came out and I like it. So, I don't think it really matters if you're a newbie or not, cause that certainly doesn't apply to me.

It's hard to really say whether a song is good or bad because people like different songs for different reasons. There's certainly P songs that I really can't stand, even some of the revered ones, but this doesn't fall into that category for me. I love hearing him talk his purple ish to the ladies and that's really all this song is for me.

I think that a musician as diverse as Prince has become after all of these years is bound to be both loved and hated eventually, because everyone has sort of formed their own perceptions of what they think a good Prince song is. It's almost like we became fans of a different guy, or several different guys who are all Prince, throughout the years.

That's why it's fascinating to hear from newbies about what lured them in. Because albums that were shat on upon their release also scored new fans. I certainly remember the disappointment in the fan kingdom of "Batman," "Diamonds and Pearls," "Symbol," "Emancipation," "NPS," as well as people who hated the albums that immediately follwed "Purple Rain." My getting lured in by Lovesexy could be seen today as a newbie getting lured in by "Planet Earth." Neither of these albums were popular at the time of release.

I know I'm a even bigger Michael Jackson and he will always be my first love but Prince is just something else. I could go on and on about him for hours he is so interesting, deep, complex, passionate and his music refects that. Me and my sis often sit and think 'is this man for real' His talent is unbelievebale!

i class it as one of my 'guilty pleasure' tracks, i would admit 2 liking it only under torture, but in private, the corny, yet breezy nature definately got me from the get go.

mayb only P can get away with it, coz we kno he has his tongue in his cheek, and a back catalogue of conquests 2 testify !!

It makes me throw up in my mouth a little every time I hear it.

I don't love it but I like it. It had to grow on me and when it did, it was like a revelation. It's a smooth groove and Prince's mellow flow works for me. I dig it.

I just Luuuuuv that song, it's sweet soft warmful..I enjoy listenning to it at the end of the day when the sun sets..I luv listenning to it when am in an island and I drive along the coast..
