People don't have to prove their favorite albums are after 1989 or after 2000 to prove they aren't trying and hoping for Prince to go back and recapture something, I think people make too big a deal of trying to control fans favorite Prince times and eras

4 U - Diamonds & Pearls in my opinion were is most cohesive albums and his highest musical times(with proteges included) most artists/musicians don't even have that time span, if Prince ended at D&P he'd still be an icon

Prince's albums after D&P onward have been hit's and misses and some really good song and some really crappy songs. lot's of reasons behind that #1 being defocused on control issues with WB, not being hot in the 90's like in the 80's is another, that can mess with a mega star like him. many other reasons...

But I have most of his post D&P albums and then favorite songs from albums I don't have

No mistake, I'm a HUGE fan of his 1976-1990 work HUGE
But I also bought LotusFlow3r got people who weren't fans to check it out and buy it, and added his In A Large Room remix to the Lotus playlist as well as the song that wasn't included on the store bought cd, I'm excited to see what he's going to do next with the album, I HOPED he did more with his "protege" that was disappointing but maybe something will still come of it

and after that Around the World in A Day is STILL my favorite Prince album + the B sides and long versions
