If he changes a few words or one line to make the song acceptable for him to sing then that's great. He could have just written the song off as one more that he'd never sing again. so there's a line change in D.M.S.R. or he says Spirituality instead of Sexuality it's still the same rocking track musically that it always was. Be grateful he didn't purge his performing catalog of every song that mentioned some kind of sex or naughtiness in it. We'd be listening to about 3 albums worth of music performed for us live right!

Prince has always changed the lyrics when performing a song live. It doesn't mean he's editing/censoring himself (apart from blatant swearing, which i understand somewhat), he's just feeling a different lyric at that particular time, he may go back to the original lyrics or not. he's continually exploring his music, past and present, many people can only deal with similarity/sameness/repetition (makes them feel safe, like children!). GET OVER IT, go listen to the album version over and over if you can't deal with new interpretations from an artist who WANTS to evolve his art. Or better still go to a concert by an 'artist' who is enslaved to the system, where they are under pressure to conform to the pop star template, and keep regurgitating the exact same setlist ad nauseum.

Yes he is.

Prince is a master at self promotion. He generally doesn't keep his religion a secret because although it may be genuine it's also another great way for him to be different.

I remember an interview he gave when he was asked about not doing his old material and not writing sexually explicit songs anymore and he said that the reason why he stopped doing the sexually explicit stuff was not because of his religion but because everybody else was doing it.
