does Prince himself have an account on this website? i was just wondering because on alot of messages boards i have visited usually the artists themselves would sign on and come chat with the fans and answer questions and all that is it like that on here? does Prince chat with his fans online? | |

This is a frequently asked question and I honestly believe that Prince has at various points in the web's history, been online and chatted with fans or posted messages on forums such as these (albeit "anonymously"). initially I think he was genuinely excited with the concept of the web in the early days of 1994-2000, some people still recall days of AOL chat with someone who just had to be him, and Prince's early official sites like The Dawn and L4OA where he was much more interactive.
Whether or not he still does this is anybody's guess. I am tempted to think not because he just seems to be "over" or disillusioned with the internet already. We have had many posters over the years (TheNewWatcher for example - who I did think was Prince) who seemed to know Princely things before they had happened, or seemed to really be asking leading questions, or reacting to things (like Apple announcing itunes excitedly and NPGMC download store starting up soon afer) and then there was a follow up event in Prince world.Even this may have been some everyday fan pulling our chain by being stereotypically Prince (cryptic, poetic, strange, elusive etc). The bottom line is nobody knows, and Prince would certainly not come out and admit who he was. Just somewhere in the middle,

NPGMC, most likely.....here? I doubt it.
I don't think he's really internet oriented anymore... My thought is he started lotusflow3r because he felt an obligation of sorts, and not really to his fans, but to the fact that it's the thing to do in this day and age, and that goes for his previous short-lived website of which I can't even remember the name
