Looks like the Best Buy price for ONA Live is...

$47.99. I'm trying to get confirmation the boxset's not in the ad, as I think they were too late in their announcement to get it in.

Between that, the Back to the Future DVD box set, and the new Kevin Smith DVD (and MAYBE the DVD of Minority Report) it's going to be an expensive day for me...

Yup, confirmed. The Prince box is NOT in the best buy ad, so it looks like the price online IS the sale price...

Often does people sadly don't know what they are doing. If find it sad that some many normal people love music and would excell at a job like that but often the people that work there either don't have that much musical knowledge or don't like music at all!

"Can you spell Prince?"

I'm sure will get asked this guestion one day! You know, I love Prince but I'm not even working now so I don't think I'm going to get the set! I know that sounds awful but $50 for 3 CDs? Sounds very high! Plus, I really didn't even get into "The Rainbow Children" yet. I think I'm going to wait if I can't find it cheaper.

Well if you check BestBuy.com, you may get a more accurate release date. As for the store itself, i'll try and keep everyone posted. I work at the Best Buy at Novi, Mi. (8Mile & Haggerty) I'll check the inventory warehouse, and the systems inventory on the computer.

I've noticed once or twice they they have sometimes have different prices for Cds online then in the store (online is cheaper!). Then again, this was for older CDs and they might have made a mistake. Keep us posted on that price. I just so can't afford $50, even for Prince!

Ok, more Best Buy news...

They do NOT have the ONA box today. The new date in their system is 12/31 for its release. Also, in my region (KC) they are only getting 2 per store!!! Ugh, this is going to be a blast to find.

You don't have to belong to the NPGMC to get jerked around by Prince - he'll get you no matter what level fan you are. Release Date?? - I don't need no stinking release date.

the thing that is so funny about this is that the holiday shopping season is the time of year when most box sets are sold... artists also tend to sell a lot of copies of their current cd after making an appearance on a major network tv show...

if this set doesn't come out until dec 31, it looks like prince will be shooting himself in the foot for sure...

i'm still glad that i got mine the day before thanksgiving... woot!...

New Yorkers: JandR...39 bucks! Just bought it today. On first listen, Disc 1 is kind of boring. Loving Disc 2 right now.
