This is the best song on App-6 and Brenda does an excellent job with it! The best part is when they sing "but he'll be parking with a dent in the side if he stands me up tonight". Brenda sounds desperate singing this one like she was really being hurt ( but thats not true we know cause that Princeys' lighting director Mista Bennett was her husband). Some Kind Of Lover is another cut that she shines on. She isn't a Streisand etc but she can sing imo. The Blue Limo music is also jammin..sort of heavy metal synth. This was Brendas album..Prince gave her a lot to shine with.

Blue Limousine just has that cool Linn drum steady beat. And the it's long too! I love how it suddenly starts from Sex Shooter...it also does make you feel that little melancholiness of the girl waiting and waiting...you can just picture them in their lace looking out for her lover to come pick her up...kind of bitter sweet.

I think Brenda was one of Prince's top woman singers. Her voice is sooo unique and cool. Wonder where she's at now.

Some Kind of Lover was great too. It's a really organic song because of the acoustic drums and piano playing.

God, I miss both my Apollonia 6 and Vanity 6 CDs. At my absolute lowest point in life, I sold them both for obscene amounts of money. Obscene. I really needed the cash, but I miss those CDs alot.

I always find this tune pretty bouncy. Has my head bobbin' when riding around. I always saw this one as the strongest track on the album. Sex Shooter just enjoyed more recognition because of it's place in PR. Brenda did a really good job on this.

Who played drums on "Some Kind of Lover?" I would think that Prince did, but sometimes Sheila gets that same feel.

blue limo is my jizzam. Brenda Bennet could've had a big solo career IMO, like Teena Marie...she was in that "white chicks who sing like black women" category. She has a very soulful voice.
