ive started to hunt down Prince 8 Track Tapes:
so far, ive got Purple Rain and 1999.

im sure that everything from For You - Purple Rain exists on 8 track (somewhere).

but wondering about the later 80's releases.

Thanks so much for your help, any solid info would really help me save some endless and meritless searches.

1999, Purple Rain, Around The World In A Day, Parade and Sign O' the Times were released on 8-Track Tape, but were record club only.

I would imagine that there are tons of these sitting in people's attics and basements. I just ran across my old Prince cassettes in my basement the other day.

My first Prince music was on 8-track - used to have For You, Prince and Dirty Mind.I bought For You and Prince for $.99 (8-tracks were being fased out) but Dirty Mind was full price. Wish I still had those!
