Oh, when it comes to youtube:
Prince seems to be the kind of man who likes to live by 'the words of the law' (this is my material, you dont show it on youtube by my permission, even when a little toddler is dancing on my song 'Lets go crazy'). But is being principal always the best? I doubt it. Prince does seem to forget that a channel like youtube also gives young people the opportunity to get in touch with his music, and probably as important, it gives the people who have often put him in the corner of 'eighties pop-idol' an idea what a versatile and gifted (live-)musician he actually is. Not only on a commercial, but also on an artistical level, he is spoiling his legacy, by acting so 'strict' when it comes to youtube. He doesnt seem to grasp that by allowing his material to stay on youtube, he will probably get more people to buy his records, and also, more people realising he is a very gifted singer, songwriter, composer, producer, musician and live-artist. So, he is trying to protect his copyrights with banning his video's from youtube, but in the end he doesnt benefit from these actions at all: not on a financial way, and not in terms of respect.

I think it would be a great idea if Prince included a DVD where he taught us about the recording process and the way he works. Fans REALLY want to know about those kinds of things.
