I think because we have been listening to the older one for so long if this would have been the 1986 bootleg and now in 2009 he did the 86 version we all would be saying I like the more jazzy version. It's all about the fact that we have grown to love the old one because of the mystery around it. | |

it's nice. wouldn't say it's better. the original is magical. one of a select
few that are absolutely astounding. the reworking is too loose. if we'd never heard the original, this would be a great track. but since we all know the original, this reworking is just a bit so so. still. i love having it 
yet another nice tune in search of an album, much like F.U.N.K., when there's crap like "mr goodnight" and that lame reworking of "the dance" on his albums. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

dance on 3121 is much superior to the first version,but thats just my opinion.
i wouldn't say this version is more loose,i would say that this version have more structure,stronger arangment and GREAT GREAT GUITAR SOLO | |
