I am amiss to understand why people who choose not to be a fan areposting here. It is your right not to be a fan and not to like the music or the man for that matter; then log onto another site and enjoy yourself. I get rather tired of seeing the same old BS postings

I think some of the 'former fans' as they say, are in the mentality that Prince can do no right and are trying to convince me to share in their view, well I am sorry but I guess we differ in the definition of the word fan, forgive me bringing another side to the 'discussion'

good the more former fans...means there will be more tickets for the rest of us ....

kinda funny seeing someone thats been a member for a month telling folk to take a hike.....im glad Prince has taught you SO MUCH-fortunatley in the UK we have schools n stuff for that so i just go to him for sounds-unless i need to learn about greed and ignorant silences when the shit hits the fan-that I could learn that from him I guess.....

In my own case, I don't expect anything from Prince. I don't think he is a god and I don't think some of his fans here can be rational about any critism or opinion that they deem anti-Prince. All I know is that his last few albums don't do anything for me and at this point, I feel I have or are about to outgrow him. I will always be grateful for Prince's earlier music and it is the reason I am here. I do not feel I have to love what he's doing now to remain a member of this fan community.
