I don't have a problem with sites removing Prince's stuff, the problem I have is that it should all be available on lotusflow3r. Such a wasted opportunity.

i think Prince sort of crosses the line between protecting his legacy and editing his past. sometimes i think it's the fans who keep sharing this rare stuff despite Prince's attempts to censor it who are the real ones protecting his legacy. ever since he became a convert, he seems to want to push a lot of stuff under the rug. too bad, really.

it WAS PRINCE. folks i know got their accounts closed over the shit. some people left afterwards because it just got to be too difficult to enjoy anything prince related. what the purple dude wit stick up his ass fails to realize is that no one was making money off of these vidz. in fact, new fans were made because of the vidz. people were wanting to go out and buy his old music because of what they saw on imeem and wanted to buy his latest release even more.

this was about fans who loved the music and the footage sharing it with others, this was not about profiting off of his hard work which is how his dumb ass (i luvs u princey but U R an idiot) perceives it. I mean he could have put all that stuff on lotusflow3r but does he? hell nah. you paid 70 plus bucks for a whack ass website that is not as much fun as an iphone.

folks who originally leaked the shit worked for him so that goes to show how much respect he garners from his inner circle. the vidz will resurface and so will the music, he can't stop it. he will waist money trying too.

I love you Prince but I have more respect for MJ right now and he's been dead for 10 days.

Prince doesn't want to share his art. He's only worried about cash dollars.
He has the delusion that there's a market for his videos and taped live performances. If he wants to be known for the merits of his recent work. So be it. I am done trying to make sense of his bad decisions but clearly he is still living in ego. It's truly sad.

However, I do agree that Prince doesn't appreciate us or deserve us quite frankly regarding his material online.Artists encourage their material to be filmed, it promotes them and (some heaven forbid,ha) may actually post them themselves. If Prince did that I'd fear for his sanity before passing out. All those wonderful performances that old, new and future fans are missing..breaks my heart, really..

So, I don't blame him for wanting to make sure he was in control of every aspect of his music and image.

He told a story in Rolling Stone about how record companies used to get Little Richard for "A Cadillac and a bucket of chicken".

What he was talking about was the way record companies would give black artists like Little Richard shiny new cars instead of giving them the millions of dollars they were owed in royalties.

Are Prince's methods a extreme sometimes? Yes, but his music and his image is all he has. It's his legacy.

So it seem like prince finally got to IMEEM.com...all his videos been removed.
Incase you didnt know, this was one website that you could find all the rare stuff, music, aftershows, concert footage, videos , loads of never b4 seen gems.. I had my filling.. now its gone...SAD! Why do us fans even bother...I know its his stuff and he is free to do what he wants, but at the end of the day its his loss, I know many fans who became fans via sites like these...anyway ,I wish one day prince would wake up and realize he has no fans left...ZERO!
He has nothing to gain by doing this shit..I mean its not like his site Lotusflow3r is providing fans anything worth the price..as far as I know Imeem was/ is free and had loads of great rare shit that kicked ass..I would pay them $77.
