Alladin DVD is Great It captures Prince at his finest, playing music music music all over the place. Man is this a great performance. The Picture quality is not top notch, nor is the sound, but who cares. I paid Like $23.00 (including ship) and got it 2 days after I ordered it. Yes it is Bootleg quality, but way better than the normal boot quality that I used to pay way more for with a hell of a lot more risk of not getting my merchandise.
Thanks again Prince. I am happy and of course not a constant complainer. Is it even remotely possible to please 85% of the orgers. How do I transfer the music to a CD-R?

well if it's as good as the Rave concert than i'll be happy with it. i remember folks on this site dissing Rave live. i actually thought it was quite good.
well except for the part where Prince starts swimming over the crowd. oh and the lip-synching to TGRES. didn't like that.

If you only have a computer CD burner, you need a quality audio card and some software. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

whoever said this is bootleg quality is talking out the wrong hole...It's widescreen, there are some amazing shots and closeups...the sound is awesome...the only thing remotely "bootleg?" about it,is that during like the first ten minutes, there are moments here and there where the camera is a little shaky...and by a little , i mean a little , not like every hand held earthquake bootleg that's out there...It's good stuff...just wish is was the whole show.

You pay for boots. Therefore, you are not a true Prince fan. Therefore, you nullify any complaints against orgers. By the way, why is it that we shouldn't expect a quality OFFICIAL release? Thanks again Prince. I am happy and of course not a constant complainer. I guess that means Prince was not a true James Brown fan when he owned boots from the Godfather himself. Can we graduate to a more realistic view of bootleg owners? In Prince's case, not owning any bootleg or copies from them (including mp3s) is missing on a tremendous part of his work. I feel sorry for those who deprived themselves of the chance to listen to Small Club, Dream Factory and all those other great boots. Aerogram, nice to see you! As an old-school amp lurker, I gotta say it's always good to see you pop up.
I also feel really bad for the faMs who buy into prince's "bootlegs are the devil" rhetoric and have never heard some of the most brilliant, magical musical moments from their favorite musician. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Why are u taking my comments about orgers so personal, unless u r one the pessimistic 85% who are only fans of Prince when he is producing something mainstream attractive? As far as the "boots", we all have 'em and I 4 one love mine so much I made copies of them all and keep the originals in a fire proof safe. This is including my original "Black album" cassette I bought in 1988. Once again Thanks Prince for a wonderful DVD that when I figure out how to put on CD-R will burn the hell out of my car stereo for years to come. as a side question, and I mean no offense or disrespect. Why is it when ever a person is Gay or Bi-sexual they have to put it up in "Neon Lights" so everybody knows that they are that way? I mean I dont write stuff like, "Proud honorary Straight playa of the Non-Gay Org Mafia" at the end of my posts. Please, please, please read Anxiety's PSA about Prince's club on the NPGMC forum. That is exactly when I stand on the subject of all things Prince. Yes, I do take comments about the Orgers very personally. I just happen to be very fond of a lot of the people here who post regularly, some of which I have met in person and some who feel the same way about Prince as I do and even the ones who don't feel as I do. As far as your comment, I am a pessimist by nature, but I couldn't care less if Prince is commmercially successful or not, as long as the music is good. NEWS is the first album of Prince's I don't own. As far as your comment about my signature, which is offensive BTW, it's self-explanatory.Why are u taking my comments about orgers so personal, unless u r one the pessimistic 85% who are only fans of Prince when he is producing something mainstream attractive? I think Prince had an image of how he wanted to film his show at the alladin...
How he wanted the viewers to see him and the band. The Concert is really nice and I'm excited to have it!!! YAY!

This was only made to comment on the fact that some people who may me Gay/Black/Disabled whatever always SHOUT OUT and bring extreme attention to there "different way of being", but then get upset when someone makes even the slightest (good or bad) comment. Please take no offense. I am Black, extremely straight (I hope), and sometimes mentally disabled...sometimes..) Back to Prince... I like the DVD. I'm going to the screening 2nite with a friend who kind of like Prince, but is slightly unaware of his new stuff (last thing she heard was TGRES). I feel that this will certainly enlighten her, despite the DVD's visual/audio imperfection. I just feel "lucky" and thankful that I was able to get it so quickly, with such great results of pleasurable listening. I am probably one of those people who at Prince concerts could lay back close his eyes and just listen to the wonderful sounds coming from the stage. The excitemment is almost (the Screening) like the time back in 1987 when I went to see SOTT film, except I was 14 then and I'm 30 now. From that moment on (especially the short short rendition of Little Red Corvette) I was a solid Prince fan.

In your original post, your first, you took it upon yourself to call 85% of the orgers negative, wwhich, in my opinion, wasn't cool. I defend the Org a lot because there are some really brilliant people here. It's not all negative, but if that's what folks come here looking for, then that's what they'll find. I am glad that the DVD does it for you and that you are happy with the way things are. I've been on the ride for 25 years and am a weee bit jaded.

Nobody would prefer to buy bootlegs over the official thing, except for the fact that there are thousands of songs and performances on bootleg that Prince will never release. Hilariously, many of these bootlegs are better quality than the official product!
