I think that Prince is a better vocalist...period!!! Ballads or otherwise. Prince has much more range than Michael does. I'll weigh in on the song selections as follows:
1. she's out of my life vs sometimes it snows in april? 2. I just cant stop loving you vs adore? 3. human nature vs the beautiful ones ? 4. man in the mirror vs the cross? 5. dont stop till u get enough vs i wanna b your lover? 6 ben vs diamonds & pearls 1. MJ - She's out of my life 2. Prince - Adore 3. Prince - The Beautiful Ones 4. MJ - Man in the Mirror (Not a ballad) 5. Prince - I wanna be your lover (These aren't ballads!) 6. MJ - Ben (not fair, MJ was a better singer when he was a kid) Personally, I wouldn't have chosen these songs as my comparison, especially not the Prince ballads. My favorite Prince ballads are: 1. Adore 2. The Beautiful Ones 3. The One 4. I hate U 5. Do me baby 6. Friend, Mother, Sister, Lover, Wife 7. I can't make u love me 8. Dark 9. When were dancing close and slow 10. International Lover And the best all time Michael Jackson ballads to me are: 1) Who's Loving You 2) Lady in my Life Prince and Michael Jackson should not be compared. Prince is a great singer, composer, musician and producer. Michael is only one of these! | |
