Prince is #6 on the Top 10 Moments from the BET Awards...he help honored Chaka Kahn by playing and arranging the musical celebration for Chaka with Yolanda Adams and Stevie Wonder. in 2006-2007 . .and BET loves Prince and talked about for years how the old president and the present BET people contact Prince on a regular and invite him to be a presenter or/and perform... I don't know for sure but I wouldn't count out the possiblity and I will be watching, just in case. ... .Jamie Fox admires Prince and he is hosting ... so I wouldn't count out the possibility....I don't know really....but I most certainly would not be surprised
[Edited 6/24/09 17:00pm] I wouldn't count it out either. I don't know anything but I wouldn't be surprised if he did show up. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Well it's going to be a tribute to Michael Jackson, so maybe he might choose to attend, or perform. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

If I ran BET, I'd call Prince and ask him to say something on the show about Michael Jackson. So who knows? Wouldn't surprise me. Prince and Madonna are the two biggest contemporaries from the '80's that are still around.

BET changed their entire show and singers up. There could be a good chance but I really hope to see Lionel Richie there too also.

I doubt it this show is now focusing on the passing of Michael *sigh* so having Prince there might not be a good idea he would be bombarded with questions regarding his musical peer.
the 80's was in a MJ and Prince world with out a doubt. I believe Prince has tried to remain in his own sector. Also not to mention some may view him showing up as wanting to get attention, lets face it MJ was/is a world wide star. But lets not forget when Prince walks in, he can make the room stop too. just in the sadness of it all why would he want to be there

No. He wasn't
But me and my mom were talking about how we never seen anyone do a Prince Tribute. He had hits like crazy! YES! I SAID IT!
[You know how long I been on ya? Since Prince was on Apollonia.] R.I.P Michael! Sad, the only time he was in peace, was when he wasn't alive.

They weren't exactly on the BEST of terms, so for Prince to come out and do something public would come off as showboating. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Man, I can't stand that bullshit "BET" channel. Should have changed it's name to iNET ( like iPOD) which stands for "ignorant N****'s exploition television". Man, thanks a lot Bob Johnson and the New CEO, you just ruined what was once a good music change and made it into crap. I wish they would just take that channel off the air, By the way, the BET Awards is crappy. [Edited 7/1/09 0:23am]

Because, they're nothing but a crappy channel with racist and nothing that would help the fucking black community by teaching about the importance of the Black Culture, but instead spews mess about celebrities no one really cares about or music worth the time to listen to, I wish I to listen to a little more Nas and Common. A few years back they even had a list of banned videos because they were deemed "too inteligent" what kind of bullshit is that? They banned Nas, some of Common's videos, Little Brother, hell I think even Talib Kweli. That why I find it offense.
