Joni Mitchell on a 15 y/o Prince mid 90s on Leno I'm not sure if this has been reported before, if so please excuse the post. I found the following comment on a Joni Mitchell fansite. Mitchell made the following statement to Prince in a mid 90s apperance on Leno.
Later, she has a nice chat with a beaming Leno, who plugs her new album at length. Then he graciously mentions that Prince is a fan, and she gets to tell this story: "When he was, I think, 15 ... I played Minneapolis, and I remember him because he has those distinctive eyes. They're like a puffin or like Egyptian wall paintings. And he sat to the left of me in the front row, with his head cocked at me like a puffin bird, and I played a lot of my set to him. He was a very young, impressionable musician, and I guess that night meant something to him." | |
