This is one of the most UNDERRATED songs on 1999. I don't know if I like this one better than All the Critics... both songs are such killers.

No, I think Lady Cab driver is the best. More so because the other songs got played so dauyum much... but this song I only hear on Detroit 107.9 or have to pull out my own CD to hear it. So it is always such a treat.

Someone mentioned wishing there was a video for this song.


I got it all pictured in my mind... Jill Jones wearing her costume she wore in 1999 video, looking hot and sexy like Marilyn Monroe and "picking up" Prince in this very clean but old style cab you know the cab from the 50s movie with huge round fenders...


and Prince is singing the song to and she keeps sneaking looks at him in her rear view mirror and then a cut away to them in the back seat... maybe Prince's shoes sticking out of the door so you don't really see them, just the back door open and Prince's shoes sticking out.
