Well, I guess it's official. Prince is still incredible.
I just got home from work, and I haven't seen the tape yet. God I hope the power didn't go out.
But I gotta say this is the closet thing to a perfect consensus that I've ever seen on prince.org. about anything concerning Prince. With the exception of ONA Live, of course.
Now, I'm about to wake the house up.

The band showed. Few hundred were funked all over. Excellent performance!

I remember Jay telling jokes and on commercial..I thought I would close my eyes for a second. The next thing I know...I wake up and it is 1:30 a.m. No PRINCE...only that damn Conan...I thought I was having a NIGHTMARE!
I cannot believe I missed it!

That was FANTASTIC! The ovation was huge for Prince, the man truly was a STORM and so was Sheila! Some of you are really being 'haters', wow I actually used that term I thought that Prince looked great but unfortunately those uninteresting idiotic people took up about 98 percent of the time we coulda been watcing Prince perform and have fun with Jay, but that's okay, what we got was good.

I was at a friends house, me being the only "true" appreciator. I would of jumped up and down (inside I was jumping up and down) , outside I was drooling.

I really dig Prince's new look,it really fits him.Yes,the
performance was off the hook and it seemed he really enjoyed
himself.Goes to show you,no matter what Prince is all about
his music and he'll always be.

Since I became I true fan early this year that was the first
time I've seen him perform his Rainbow Children material.It
was pretty cool to me,I mean I listen to him all the time
but never get to see him on television or anything unless
it's an old movie or past performances.So the Tonight Show
is special for me and I got it on tape to over and over.

My non-prince fan friend said he thought the performance was great!

I was talking to one of my best friends on Saturday, who also happens to hate on Prince every chance he gets, actually told me he thought his performance on Leno was "suprising"...meaning he actually liked it. I thought my ears were broken, since for the 15 years I have known this guy I have NEVER heard anything but negative comments when it came to Prince. He said he really liked the song and that Sheila was cool.

So what do ya think should I burn him a copy of ONAL?

is it just me, or did p look like a dang pallbearer with that suit on? didn't really notice till the leno appearance...

I know I'm late with this reply. I caught the Leno show after dreaming all week long that I had missed it and let me tell you...IT ROCKED!!! Prince was adorable and that man funked it up!!! It was an amazing performance, as all of you have already noted. And yes, Sheila E. was truly amazing!! It was a wonderful performance...very funky! I always that thought song was funky on TRC...Prince just proved that it is funkier than I thouhgt it was!! LOL!! I have definitely overused the word "funk"!!!

For the folks criticizing the choice of Everlasting Now:

I'll just put it to you this way, on TRC the album, The Everlasting Now is pretty good, nothing too special. But live, it's just an incredible jam.

On TRC, I like it. Live, I LOVE it!
