So true I remember in the 1990 Rolling Stone interview,he was bragging that he just "made a movie with someone else's money" (referring to Graffiti Bridge).

He could have sex slaves locked up in his basement or maybe some kind of breakdown where his hairspray causes him to rob banks or dine and dash. Sniff some more Glue Dude!

Even the one's that subscribe to the "commas are...boring" [STYLE] rule, a la Gertrude Stein, miss the point. But "ending a sentence with a preposition is something with which I will not put." Why we seek 2 critique some1's spelling n here, written n a media designed 2 b n4mal and inside a forum that seemingly reveres a man who cannot write a sentence without "princebonics" escapes me. Eye was of course... criteeking the kriteaker. Ouch, ouch, ouch! I know you were, dude, but stop it now, please. It hurts my eyes!

I mean, if it called for a rich, sexy, someone what effiminate womanizer, Prince would have one 4 inch heel already in the door. Damn, I wish I knew how to write screenplays. I can write a novel and have my friend turn it into a screenplay. But as far as geting it up under Prince's perfect little nose to read...I dunno... But he doesn't want to - as I pointed out earlier. It would mean giving up control to a director - and he won't do that. Especially not at this stage in his career. let's stop pretending that we know what prince "wants" shall we? I mean yeah..he's obviously a musician first by choice...we all know that, but who knows...perhaps if he was approached with the right role and the right script he'd go for it. I think a role like 3232 suggested would be just the kind of role he could pull off....could even do it under a different name...pretend he's new. it's fun to think about at the very least. "not a fan" yeah...ok

Amen SHORTY...in hollywood, anything IS possible...if an American Idol drop out can win an Oscar for her 1st acting role (Jennifer Hudson)...its all about the right role (whatever that is for Prince) and the right director...we may not be as Creative in our imagination but there are poeple in hollywood with very creative minds who think outside the box. I used Jamie Fox as an example earlier...Lets try Will Smith this time...20 years ago, we saw a clean / funny goofy rapper...b4 he even had his t.v show...if some one told u then that Will would be the biggest movie star on the planet, this is probly the reaction some people would've had...and in Prince's case, I wasnt stating that he is or would make a big box office draw...but just to imagine him in a BIG BUDGET cameo role. oh, dont forget to check my spelling : )

I remember in the early 90s,Spike Lee expressed interest in casting Prince in one of his films.By the late 90s,there was even talk of a "political musical" that the two of them were planning to collaborate on.It's too bad that it never materialized.

Jamie Foxx was not an actor? What planet are you from? He most certainly is, was, and has been for 20 years. (Are you familiar with the show In Living Color?) Purple Rain was a hit 25 years ago - and its success was a function of Prince's popularity and personal magnetism at the time. It owes nothing to a storyline or acting performances. Prince quite simply does not have that kind of pull anymore. ----- If someone wants to put P in a movie what is the big deal. Plenty of singers are in films who are not actors.
