frankly, I think people take the "concept" of it a little bit too far. it was a gimmick he cobbled together into a concept for an album that didn't get released. he did other songs with the same gimmick around the same time (and since) that i'd classify as "Camille" recordings, though others would insist they are not since they didn't get a "Camille" credit in the liner notes. who's to say that on the original "Crystal Ball" liner notes from 1987 that the title track wouldn't have gotten a "Camille" credit? or the 3rd version of "Witness 4 The Prosecution" etc.
