I'd rather have Electric Intercourse in place of Computer Blue, but not in place of The Beautiful Ones. The Beautiful Ones is my number 1 Prince track of all time.

The Beautiful ones. I never knew what all the fuss was about on EI, it's not that good.

Take me with U on the other hand could have been shelved in place of the FULL VERSION of Computer Blue. Maybe you could remove IWD4U and replace it with EI
Better yet...make it a double album and include it all including bsides etc.

They should pull a George Lucas and shoot extra scenes...and re-release as a special edition. Would anyone miss Modernaire?

EI is my top 5 favorite Prince songs. But I don't think I would fit in Purple Rain. The reason why Prince left it out was because it didn't fit in with the movie, and put in Beautiful Ones. But Prince definatealy should have released Electric Intercourse in some way shape or form. As a B-side to Darling Nikki or something.

the Beautiful Ones has more of an impact and build that Electric Intercourse doesn't. It is definately digitally sensual and live is really nice

But the impact it would have in the placing of the movie(Purple Rain is a movie soundtrack) would not work.

Jill Jones should have had an album for the Purple Rain somewhere between Sheila E & Apollonia 6
meaning she probably would have had 1 or 2 songs in the movie like Apollonia 6 but the rest like Sheila E would have been for the Purple outpour of that year(s) G-Spot and a few others were Purple Rain outtakes

"Electric Intercourse" should have been the B-side to "I Would Die 4 U" instead of "Baby I'm A Star". Perfect opportunity to get one more song out. I'd love to have heard "Wednesday" as a B-side somewhere too.

As much as I love "Electric Intercourse",I don't think it would have worked for that particular scene."The Beautiful Ones" worked perfectly.Still,I wish "Electric Intercourse" had been released,in some form or another....maybe as the B-side to "Take Me With U"?

A very emotional song, very pretty but nowadays I would pick Electric Intercourse, I love that song a lot, it's gorgeous, especially the live version at '83 1st. ave and haven't heard it so much as the Beautiful ones.
