First Avenue Celebrates the 25th Anniversary of PURPLE RAIN

This summer, First Avenue is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Purple Rain, one of the greatest records and movies of all time. The legendary venue featured in the film will host events to mark their release.

Too Much Love Twitter Contest

DJ Soviet Panda and his guests will play one song from the record every Saturday night during Too Much Love for nine consecutive weeks. The songs will be played in the order they appear on the record.

AFTER the song is played, the first person to send a tweet containing “@firstavenue” via their twitter account will receive a prize pack consisting of five pairs of tickets to First Avenue shows and more. The winner of the last week’s contest will receive a prize pack with 10 pairs of tickets to First Avenue shows and a Purple Rain standup.
