Howard Stern just raved about Prince's guitar-playing

They're playing a rerun of a Stevie Wonder interview, on SIRIUS.

Despite his frustration with the lighting sitch @ the Gansevoort, Howard is a stone Prince fan.

I know. I miss free Howard. I have XM, and I hoped I would get Howie after the Sirius/XM merge.

You can. Just call XM and tell them you want the Best of Sirius package. You will then get Howard. I think it cost $2 extra a month.

i heard this yesterday ... stevie was a fun interview and alot of his little "jokes" didnt really come off too well with howard (i heard him kinda making fun of himself a few times ... about being blind etc )

i just re-upped with sirius and i have to say - i like it - but Howard kinda gets to me alil bit lately - cus he is on vacation ALL THE TIME ... and he doesnt work fridays .... i guess when you get rich and famous u have to live that lifestyle ...

i mean this week - with all the celeb rerun moments ... i think i heard all of them a few times already ... confused

My fave line? 'Stevie, I have a confession to make: we're not on the radio; we're actually just hangin' out in my apartment.'

I rented a car a couple weeks ago that had Serius. I found Howard and I remembered how much I used to enjoy his show. It is even better now that they do not have to watch what they say.

That Stevie appearance on Howard was awesome! I remember sitting in my car in the work parking lot not wanting to go in until Stevie left..unfortunately for me, they kept him for over an hour!!! I remember Artie making some joke about Prince, and Stevie saying in a mock threatening voice, "You talkin' about my friend...watch it!"

As for Howard, he's always loved Prince's music and guitar playing. Only thing is, Howard is a humorist AND does not turn a blind eye to Prince's oddities and pretentiousness. For instance, I remember them having a ball and being hilariously brutal when they sent someone to the press conference that Prince threw to reclaim his name. On the other hand, I also remember Howard saying that he listened to the song "Purple Rain" over and over again to prepare for some of the heavier moments in "Private Parts" because that song was always a favorite and put him in an emotional place.

That was pretty funny. If I remember right, Prince was a good sport about it.

To a point he was..I remember Prince getting a big kick out of the "Who would win in a fight question" However, I also remember the guy getting ejected not too many questions later..of course, that was probably security's call and not Prince's.

Ha! Yep that and I also thought it was funny that when the interviewer asked Prince the fighting question, he also snuck in "Come on, it would be good, you guys are roughly the same height.." Sure. Guy must not realize that Michael's actually pretty tall. And Prince is..not.
