Also, sorry, as a muso I've never heard Prince sing 'out of tune' live beyond the slightest amount which is human and to be encouraged (rather than the autotune over the new album which is just a bit unnecessary on Lotusflow3r and debatable on the others).

And purlease, I can't watch any of these forsaken Idol shows all the way through as most of the performers don't have the control or experience to sing consistently dead on pitch(or close to it) throughout a whole number and get by on performance tricks. If you ever hear those 'idols' drenched in reverb/echo, you can bet it's because a producer's gone "er... cover that up, will you ?"

Prince looked fantastic (loved the eye makeup. I like him in lots of eye makeup and everybody sounded wonderful. I guess I never appreciated SHOE before like I should have. This performance really woke me up to how great it is.

I've just watched the show...

That was extraordinary! it took me right back to the final indigo performance in London STUPENDOUS

I especially loved how he the crowd whilst Leno was speaking at the end..

Dunno if it was just ,but did he seem a bit figgety throughout.. He was either really excited or nervous I cant tell just yet.... need to watch a gazillion more times

Oh please, this was a completely unmemorable performance. A bland ballad, Prince doing his usual OTT vocals, yet more pretend jazz, an elaborately dressed set to obscure the crappiness of the song,...

But it fit in really well with this Tonight Show, since that was a crapfest from start till finish. Billy fricking Crystal?

And doesn't he have a new album to promote? If he's gonna do old shit, then at least do a DECENT song.

Prince looked luscious. He had those lashes popping and those shiny lips bustin and that glittery Michael Jackson Billie Jean tunic on...it was perfect.

Then he started singing and my tv had an orgasm...it was wonderful.

I like his brows too. I like how they;re arched now. They used to be rounded. (look at Purple Rain)
