I was browsing ebay today and checking out some things... Got to looking at a variety of Prince vinyls and picture discs, e.t.c... and found myself wondering.

What is the rarest Prince record?

I managed to complete my collection of having SOTT in every format, thanks to ebay!

I wanted to say The Gold Experience cause it is out of Print. But, you can find it in a lot of places.

So I'll go with any one of his NPGMC-only releases.

Prince related is probably that Lewis Connection LP (Sonny T's 1970s band I think, with Prince apparently featuring on guitar)

Also, the first printing of Gold Nigga is pretty rare.

There is also a 12in from the Diamonds and Pearls era that I cannot recall right now. (starts with a number. It features Diamond and Pearl).

I know the UK 7" single of "Gotta Stop Messin' About" in the original picture sleeve was VERY rare and sought after - was kinda the Holy Grail of Prince collector world towards the late '80's - that and an original Black Album.

I have a 3 Vinyl set called NPG Radio (or something like that). I remember ordering it from some official source years and years ago. Prince basically takes over a "radio station" and spins records that he likes while talking in a distorted DJ voice. Any one know more about this? I'll take a look at the label on the albums later today to see if there is more info on it.

Sounds like your are talking bout the NPG Ahdio Shows which probably are on bootleg now, although maybe he did release something similar before.

ONA Piano seems to sell at a high price but Im not sure just exactly how many are in circulation, it can't be that rare.
I used to own a copy of the Black Sweat12 inch purple vinyl which I sold for £150 and I totally regret now,it was a really nice item.
