The other big question I have is, where would Prince be today if he hadn't had to turn to Larry for a sense of direction in his life? I think the swearing/raunchiness would have toned down a bit in his music even if he hadn't been exposed to the JW faith; it would have just been a natural part of growing older. Yet, I don't think he would have dispensed with the dirtiness to the degree he has (and I definitely believe he would NOT have altered/retired songs like "Sexuality" or "Head").

But alas, we'll never know.

if im corrected the albums he released with mayte was from the love symbol album threw to new power soul i think but im not 100% sure. i dunno bout manuela only that he released musicology wen he was with her.

3121 came out in March '06, and the first 3121 show in Vegas was 2 months later @ the Empire Ballroom during Memorial Day weekend in May -- heard she had just filed for divorce when we got back from that show.

I didn't love Mayte at the time... (hey, I was a kid, still had a crush on him ) ~ but there is no denying she was an amazing muse for his music
She did grow on me though.. and it's cool to see her acting career continue to go places (Across the Hall, Nip/Tuck, Las Vegas, The Closer, Army Wives, etc.)

I didn't know what to make of Mani with all the rumors about how she came to be wife #2 (and I didn't care for most of the music.. but I think that was JW influence more than anything), but she also has done well since leaving him, doing really great charity work for kids (was scary when she was caught in the Mumbai attacks last year.. glad she got out safely)

I hope they both continue to do well

you should also count Rave as being part of Mayte's time.. and also Mani's Time.

Rave has been called the "break up " cd.

New power soul also definetly have Mani's time in it. She was thanked in the credits by Prince and she appeared in a music video from that CD.
