Prince/Michael Jackson Ive always wondered how Bad would have sounded with the both of them. It sucks so much these two never did anything together musically.
Lets say these two came out on stage to open the MTV Video Awards. Not performing a new song they made or playing Bad but opening the show with a cover. What song sounds like a song they should do together? My choice.....the Bee Gees 'You Should Be Dancing' That would be a hot opening. I believe in horns! | |

The Stevie Wonder duet would have been better to put Prince on instead of Stevie, IF there was going to be a duet. Or "Liberian Girl" Prince could have solo'd like a MFer on that song. Made it a rock ballad. | |

i dont see why there is so much negativity for this thread...its not a comparison or a bitching session, just a nice way to think about what would work well between 2 of the worlds biggest artists. a pleasant thread.

Personally, I think they could have really done something special together had it been done very early on. I'm thinking '79, '80 and maybe as late as '81. After that...their styles were entirely too different to make anything with them together work. That's apparent from that video of them both with James Brown. And after the successes of Thriller and Purple Rain, respectively...their egos...respectively...were entirely too inflated to ever seriously consider working together.
