Abrubt ending of Dez' guitar-solo in "Private Joy" at an early live-show ? I recently saw this footage. You can see Brownmark and Fink in there and Dez starts a solo around 3:28 minutes. Then all of a sudden, while Dez is still in the middle of his solo,
Prince shouts to the band around 3:53 : "Stop it !, Stop it !, Hold it !, Please stop !..." And then the clip stops. I wonder what happened after that. Was it an act ? ... part of the show ? ... ... because i got the impression that Prince seemed not satisfied about what happened at that moment. I could be wrong lol. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yeah I love that video. One of my favorite dvds, from the Controversy tour in Houston,Tx on 12/9/81.After he stops Dez,they do a frantic version of 'Jack U Off'.Dez's solo was killer!

Thanks for the replies yall Yeah, Dez solo in "Private Joy" is also tight. So Dez continues to solo in "Jack U Off" ? ... i can imagine that it must've been sizzling.

Yes, I have seen it and it IS part of the act. After the abrupt stop they go into another song but it was all part of the act.
