I've seen Prince 12 times in all. The very first concert that i'd ever gone too was "the purple rain tour". It was so amazing. Prince sang"17 days" from behind the curtain.. before the show had begun.

My favorite of all the shows I have seen is still Lovesexy. I went to the 3rd show he was doing in Chicago. Turns out it was the only time on the whole tour that he performed Sign O the Times. Mavis Staples was a guest that night also. I was waiting in the parking lot with 2 friends of mine at the Rosemont Horizon that afternoon hoping to get a glimpe of him arriving and there wasn't anyone else in the whole parking lot and all of the sudden this black van and black limos pull in the parking lot and we freaked out and jumped out of the car and ran towards them. There was this long ramp that went down into the stadium and they drove down there and all of the sudden one of the limos back all the way up to the top and sits there a minute and low and behold Prince gets out of the limo and shakes our hands and says hello. I managed to get one picture before Gilbert asked me not to take any more pictures. I nearly fainted after it was all over. I managed to make it on the Beautiful Experience film, during the Jam song. The camera cuts to the front row like 3 times and I was in all 3 shots. In all black and clapping my hands. lol That was cool to see myself! The Superbowl party in January 1992 and the performance at Glam Slam in January 1992 was also very cool, since I didn't get to see the actual tour. The Act I warm up at Glam Slam was cool as well, it was the first time Peach was played live. Mayte's 21st birthday party was another highlight for me. They played in the atrium at Paisley Park and there were only about 40-50 people there. Levi had returned that night and was playing guitar. There were on a riser about a foot off the floor. I can't remember all the songs, but I remember they played Flashlight. I was front and center and Prince was playing a tambourine right in front of me and reached out his hand with the tambourine to hand it to me and i just stood there FROZEN! lol He gave me this look like "are you going to take it or not?". My friend next to me nudged me and I took it. My prized Prince possession. lol The Gold/Come/Exodus shows although cool as hell, got to be a bit much. If I heard Race or Get Wild one more time I would have died. They were always like 10 minutes each (seemed like an hour). Although the good thing about all those shows was that he'd always play something live that I'd never heard done before. I pretty much got bored with it after Emancipation and then Larry Graham came into the picture and I stopped going out to Paisley Park for the most part. To me he's just not the same anymore, although when I went to the 07/07/07 show and Wendy was on stage for the opening number of Purple Rain it brought back a lot of good memories. Of all the shows I have seen I would still be jealous of ANYONE who saw a Lovesexy aftershow!!! Sorry to ramble people!
