I got to see him live first in 2002 in London for the ONA tour, unfortunately I was right at the back.
Second, third and fourth time was 2007 at the O2 on the 1st 3 nights of the tour. (I splashed out on one night to get VIP access so I was 5 or so rows away)
Impressive stuff although both times I've been struck by how he seems like a normal musician whos talented - ie. I wasn't as star struck as I expected. I was impressed at his professionalism and he was very good at making eye contact with people in the crowd to make them feel part of it.
It also struck me that hes different to what I expected, it almost was like the adage, never meet your heroes.

I was a senior in high school in 1984. Wasn't a Prince fan then, tho.

Sure you will prb...hes going to be around for a while yet God willing, he looks in good health now!!

Just be warned it may shatter illusions or at least give you a more realistic view of him as a human not some kind of idol.

been a fan since since i was a baby--i was about 5 when i first heard prince and loved it. loved his videos too, especially when doves cry. my mom thought i was a freak!

I am 51, became aware of Prince during my mid-20s when Purple Rain came out but was just a casual fan untill I heard "7" which blew my mind, and then became hardcore in the advent of the Internet which made me realize just how much there was of Prince out there instead of just all of his commercial releases!! now, due 2 his behaviour and the way he treats his fans and the sub-standard quality of his music and everything I am back down 2 being a casual fan again!!!

Sandbanks in Dorset has property there worth more per square mile than in places like Upper Manhatten and Dubai!!!! I cant give exact figures, but theres properties there worth around £5 - 6,000,000 AT LEAST, even more!!!!!

Yep, not 2 far, i live about 13 miles west of Tunbridge Wells! You probably get the record for closest (in distance) orger ive spoken to online.

I'm 55, will be 56 in July this year. I've been a fan of Prince's since Purple Rain. Was out of the loop from his music for years and I've been crazy about him again since November 2008.
