I'm just trying to show some love for one of Prince's finest songs that I just saw an absolutely incredible live performance of, that unfortunately, I can't tell y'all about because thems the rules.

Yet two little lost children show up, being extremely negative and calling me names. These same little lost children who love to whine and bitch about how this place is going down because of the haters but always somehow seem to miss how their own actions contributes to the degradation of this place just as much as anybody's! .

Ignore Dayclear - anyone who has to edit a 1 line post twice doesn't deserve a response.

It's well within the rules to talk about the live performance you've seen.

The year is 1983. The place in Minneapolis. It looks like it's at an arena of some sort. When he gets to the bottom of it, he puts his finger on his chin and looks around with that little coy ass grin like he doesn't know what he's going to do next. Then he leaps up and does a high jump off the drummer's platform and lands center stage right in front of his microphone and he starts singing...

Dance break...Andre, Prince and Dez strutting, kicking, legs cris-cross hopping, styling and profiling...sexiness oozing out of every single pore!

Prince grabs his mic and then really goes to work!!! Here is where I'll have to leave my little raving review because I simply can't keep my eyes off the screen long enough to describe it...just know the rest of it is fucking fabulous!!!

That's what Prince should be putting up on his damn website! He could get my 77.00 for the chance to see more of that in hi-res!!

Great find! I really like that web site! (assuming that we visited the same one) There are some good classic Prince gems. The Let's Work Live was awesome. At that same web site, I also found footage of Prince and the Revolution rehearsing. Although it's in black and white it shows some cute Prince dancing!

Let's Work is really amazing. I had it blasting just the other day and it still does its job - relentlessly funky and energetic.

And, even though I am more of a fan of his more complex arrangements further on in his career, the drive he manages to achieve here with a relatively straight-forward arrangement is fantastic. Its one of those that you might line-up next to one of his modern day funk/pop cuts and realise just how incredible he was, even so early on.
