Is it possible that Prince's less talented and unknown twin brother took Prince's place in 1995?

Years ago,I read a crazy story that was circulating among fans.It was a (fan-written?) report called "The Paisley Park Files" that was filled with alot of insane rumors...lol...it claims that the "real Prince" has been replaced by an imposter, who took over in 1993.Does anyone remember this story?

Prince did stop with opening up as a person around that time, thats all.
Blaming it on WB, blaming it on people who werent Jehovah witnesses from 1999 on. That simple it is. It was never his own fault, of course.....

Well, before this thread gets locked I just want to say early part of the symbol years was fierce.
His 1993/1994 band was uber awesome, and much of the music was great fun. It didn't fizzle until the later part of the 90s and I won't blame the symbol. I blame Larry Graham's bigass mustache. It's very distracting.

this is some funny... I wouldn't go as far to say that... Emancipation isn't too bad and songs like "In this bed scream" is classic Prince no way you'd confuse that for the real thing Come & TGE had some good material, though, so I'm not really onto this theory... but something differently changed after freedom was granted had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

There is a Bruce Campbell movie called "Bubba Ho-Tep" that is almost exactly like this, except with Elvis as the star.
The real Elvis is tired of the limelight and needs a break, so he hires the world's best impersonator to take his place for a while. The only two people who know about it are Elvis himself and the impersonator. The impersonator dies publicly before they could switch back, and Elvis himself then becomes his own impersonator to make a living. The Prince conspiracy would've been better if Prince had refused to record new music, and instead only wanted to perform live. This would explain why his live work has gotten better with time, and why he rarely plays any songs from his new releases . . .

"Dead like Elvis" I think that in the early 90s lots of fans secretly thought, "If he died he'd get the recognition he deserves + we'd get to hear all the good stuff..." The whole Sacrifice of Victor/ Namechange was basically a post-modern meta-meta-meta play on this obvious idea The reason I love "Face Down" is it's a tongue-in-cheek work-over of the whole thing, kinda sending it up. Only, coz it's P, it's actually only half tongue-in-cheek (oh shit, what if he was serious?!!!!) "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

It's more like "Bowfinger," where Eddie Murphy plays a hotshot movie star, and his dorky twin brother pretends to be him. It's a good metaphor for Prince, actually. Eddie's movie star character is paranoid, and he's dependent on a controlling cult to calm him down. And the dorky twin brother, that's like Prince's hidden true self.
