Come on, Ernest - are you really going to try and twist this in to a comparison between the subjects of Prince and Mohammed - the characters are not the point. Its not about whether one is a more provocative or meaningful target - the point (which I don't think you missed, you're just trying to turn it in your favour) is about people's reactions to sensitive subjects, not who is the subject. I was alluding to the likeness between the two events, not starting a debate as to which would be more offensive.

You may take issue with the arrogance statement, but it wasn't a "stretch" as you put it and you're deluding yourself if you think you haven't been dismissive of other's feelings. It was logically put to you by someone that the picture simply "doesn't sit well with me" - your response was "its just a pic. Letitgo" - that's dismissing someone else's feelings about the subject, which you then go on to deny having done!

Its not arrogant to defend your picture and is not what I said - it is arrogant to ignore people's sensitivity to what you posted.

You allude to other artistic creations that involve death. Squirrelgrease has somehow found it relevant to post lyrics where Prince mentions death, as though that justifies what has happened in this thread (yeah, nice one - so, because Prince has mentioned death in his lyrics, its ok to photoshop him in a coffin - that's what I call a stretch!). The difference here is that you are both comparing great pieces of work that are thoughtful and considered with a cheap shot of a photoshopped pic, as though they are the same thing. It seems a desperate attempt to provide some credence to what amounts to no more than an immature, churlish "joke" of sorts - the kind of thing you might expect in a playground, but not from grown adults.

As I said, this is no tirade, nor is it a witchhunt, or some medieval courtroom where you're not getting a fair trial! This is an open debate in front of the very people you chose to provide with your "work" and you have every opportunity to defend yourself - but you ought to defend yourself with salient, reasoned argument rather than twisting of words and foot-stamping about no removal and no surrender.
