Hehe. Well, I like a lot of Prince's musical output right up until this day, but there is ... cover your ears ... a time for criticizing. If I can't do that I would feel imprisoned and desperately want to eat the tree bark. Purple Rain = great. The Gold Experience = very good. Planet Earth = very good. Lotusflow3r 3 disc set = ok, not that good. | |

I think TGE was just as great as PR. TGE was really PR part II for the 90's. I was talking to an old Navy/Prince buddy today on the phone (who found me on the Org a couple of weeks ago after 20 years of not knowing where each other were), and he popped up and said the same thing about TGE. It's amazing after all these years, we still have the same opinions on Prince. P.E. was really good too. Just strong pop songs. Take out "Resolution" and "Lion of Judah", and replace them (and add) with songs from 3121, and you'd have a smashing album. | |

Unbelievable! Enough already! Not only is Prince constantly attacked but now u'r talking about his death 2?! Eye think this topic is much 2 morbid and it's not something that should b talked about.
What may happen, after his death is that he will b appreciated only after his death...the crude realization that we have lost some1 special will suddenly dawn the masses, and ignite the phrase, "Oh we have lost a truly gifted musician but at least we'll always have his music 2 treasure!" And then the critics will revise their harsh criticisms, etc. | |

I do seriously think that when Prince does eventually pass on (which is hopefully not for a long ass time yet) that we'll see a series of posthumous Prince albums released (ala Tupac and Biggie)
