It is a beautiful haunting track about insecurity and fear.
The lirics used are to me something to admire, as is the music. The track puzzled me back in the day and made me explore Prince's musical roots better. | |

The released version do not include the "bros and sisters from the purple underground find peace of mind with the pop sound" that's mentioned by Per Nielsen in his bio on Prince. I like the song, especially about a 3rd of the way into it when it starts sounding like james bond music.
I just have to be in the mood to listen to it, because its not something you casually throw on, you really have to stop for that song. | |
