Prince's Elixir I listened again to Elixer and it IS a very nicely done CD. I noticed many of the songs are truly jazzed influenced. The music behind the words is exceptional. Bria's voice is subtle and beautifully melodic. The tone of the CD is about love, mostely from a woman's persective, although at times the sentiments could be interpreted as a man's inner-most thoughts and feelings.
The CD may not be listed with Prince's greatest work and may not be as pleasurable to die-hards, purple hippies, etc., as Lotusflow3r or MPLSound or other Prince works, but give it up, it's far, far better than most of the female vocalist records out there today. If you do not agree, that's o.k. but please be respectfull in your responses. Thanks.

I like the album....her voice is easy to listen too like Vanity's but that is it. She is not challenging anyone with it. I put it on and just let it play. I never understood all of the strait hater-aid being served up on here...but it wouldn't be the org now would it!? "A Man Can't Ride Your Back Unless It's Bent" MLK 4/3/68
