Wow, still up on the Top 20. That's great right there. Prince is doing the damn thing and hopefully the interview with Tavis Smiley will help the sales go up or stay steady for next week.

The Ellen appearance kept him in the Top 20 .. good deal


whens the last time a Prince album was in the Top 20 after 4 weeks? (not counting the whole Musicology concert sales thing)

Overall if we WANNA talk numbers, this album is going to sell less than 3121 did, more than PE, not by much, less than half of Musicology, and overall about AVERAGE for a Prince record 400-500,000 which is pretty much what he has always been able to pull in....once again NOT sure where peeps came up with this idea that Prince was some MEGA seller.

I think its damn good for no air play. All it would take is some daring stations to think out of the box and play the songs just because they are just that great. I would love for Tom Joyner to do something. Who will be the first?

Good to see the album still in the top 20. Hope I'm wrong, but I think that a successful radio or video single will be needed for it to go Gold. Don't know why any of the two videos aren't on MTV, VH1 or BET.

The key thing 2 this whole sales thing is getting Prince on the radio. I think he has done pretty good so far in sales without radio. Musicology,3121,& even Planet Earth had some radio play. Maybe us fans need 2 start calling up these radio programmers & requesting it. I mean when Prince put "Turn me Loose" out last year we called and emailed here in LA & they continued playing it.Prince had meetings b4 this project was released with different radio dj's 2 get the word out. He did his part now its r turn.

But as Prince said he has already made his money right up front off the project. So at the end of the day its a business. Prince has found a way to profit & get what he deserves as an artist. He has worked hard 4 it and he deserves every penny he gets. We should stand by and support Prince he gives us his music. We should give him back r support..... Just a thought[i]

Also no radio station added any of his new songs. Ok, Target is just a retailer, but they can sent some promo cds....
I think it`s more Prince`s strategy to say i`ve done this without the help of
any normal structure or something...

This is an example of how to make a successful album without the radio and the videos on those arenas but it would be nice to hear some of the music on the radio. I will call the radio stations in my area to request these songs now it will up to the station to play them. And if they won't I still listen to it in my van and enjoy every single note!!! Go Prince Go!!!
