Nice to hear him talking about Andre Cymone and how he became driven to succeed. Bad to hear him complaining about record sales and the industry that has made him 100's of millions of dollars. 99.99999% of human beings to ever live on this planet has never had it so good, so why is he so miserable all the time?

Soundscan allegedly reports manipulated sales data in North America and similar overseas tracking systems do the same in a collective effort to steal money from artists? I thought sales and charts were inconsequential to him. If this is such a matter of great concern why can't he press CDs and release them exclusively through Lotusflow3r.com?

I think he trying to come up with creatvie excuses for insignificant sales.

I have no doubt that there are a number of industry scams out there where artists get the raw deal…. But coming from someone who just charged $77 to log onto a website to download a $12 album ….Is that not just as bad?

Cause not everyone is going to join his website but they still want the music. The lotusflow3r part of the org is a clear example of that.

As I don't know enough about the interviewers in the US, I can't comment on them, but I'd love to see this happen.

A little UK promotion of Lotusflow3r by going on Jools Holland for a night, tearing the place up as only Prince can, then a one-off special with Parky coming out of retirement to interview someone he must have had an interest in.

I have to agree, as good as Parky is I just don't think he'd 'get' what it is about Prince that makes him so unique - he really wouldn't be able to put in all the research to do, what would be, such a special event.

I'm all for lobbying the BBC, in fact I intend to do it straightaway. A Later special with Jools would be just the ticket, especially if they conversed. I also think that Trevor Nelson would do an interview justice, so I will mention that as well.

I think that we should also petition Melvin Bragg about undertaking a review of Prince, the man and his music, in a South Bank Show dedicated to him.

He's talking about an audit of ALL his past record sales, not just Purple Rain, people! He used Purple Rain as an example. He's mentioned before that the investigation of past record sales has been an ongoing project in recent months, or years.
