although, personally, I feel its cool to see the links between truely "old school" artists and Prince. It shows where his aspirations were/are and his respect. Its not magic its music, he learned his craft from some of the greats!!

Here's the deal on Graham. His name has become synonymous with Prince editing himself. It's not even that Prince became some Jehovah's Witness. He was Seventh Day Adventist before (raised that way at least), and mentioned God numerous times in music, often equating God and the elation of sex as one. Then go back and listen to Sly records. Ask Janet, Jimmy, and Terry about "Thank You", and how "Rhythm Nation" came about. If you can disconnect what Graham did with/to/for/in Prince with what he did with/to/for/in music, the appreciation can be there.

No, I don't want to hear Prince sing "Alright" with Graham again. He did that. If I want to hear "Alright", I'll go listen to the GCS album. If I wanna hear "I Wanna Take You Higher", I'll go grab that Sly album. If I wanna hear Prince say fuck, well....I'ma pull out my 1999 album, and blast it.

Okay! I will tell the story again. I was front and center at some show and Larry was killing his bass guitar and I was looking up in awe and I heard Prince say "Touch it!" Does it offend you? Why is so important. erentsewell you even have a quote in your "signature" the express your desire for Prince to say curse words again. So clearly it's something you pride yourself on, that's you wear it as a badge. Something to say, you feels it's important for people to curse, and if not they're are doing something wrong. Something that you must publicly acknowledge in what appears a protest against not cursing.

Tavis is a friend of his. You know he was not going to ask him anything without his consent that he would'nt answer. The two probably sat down & rehearsed what they were going to say to each other. Prince did at times look a little uncomfortable, but i do think he knew Tavis was not going to drill him on anything they did not go through before. Overall the interview was not bad at all.

Kids don't get it. I had this conversation with my son....he just looked at me like I was nuts. I've seen him actually pick up his guitar, 1 time in 3 years, but he will play that silly game every day if he could.

Yes, I'd be fooling myself if I said I play a guitar, a guitar that's a plastic game controller; however, I do play piano and that doesn't take away the fact I also enjoy playing "Guitar Hero" too. If I have a get together at the home, I'm not going to set a real trumpet, drums, keyboard and bass guitar in my living room for my friends and just say, "Start playing and lets jam."

Heck if Prince gave permission to have his music on "Guitar Hero" he'll expose music to kids (and adults) to songs they've never heard of and it quite possibly make them want to learn a real instrument in the future.
