Ok so i have seen various posts of people saying prince had a new purple guitar at the ellen show while playing crimson and clover. Does anyone know what guitar this is? and if you guys got any pics from the show

It looks like it's burgundy. It's a Strat like his Baby Blue and Creamsickle guitars.

Yes, the same exact pickups. (EMG) The difference is the Strat's have The Floyd Rose tremolos on them.

I read a while back though that when he was in Japan he got a bunch of Strats and the blue one reminded him of the one Sonny T used to play when they were kids.

Nice color,it is the same exact color of my car lol. When I bought it brand new in 2007, that was closest to purple Mazda had,but i agree it is burgundy.

the aqua strat was purchased in Tokyo in November 2002 along with the orange bass with white scratchplate and a little purple heart shaped guitar as well.

this burgundy guitar isn't just the aqua one repainted is it ?
