I skipped this. (first tour I purposefully missed since 1986) Tickets were too expensive and I was still angry about TRC. Judging from the live CD I don't think I missed much.

don't base it on the live cd that he released man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

the only disappointment of the night came when he said during the main show "if ur looking 2 get ur purple rain on, ur in the wrong house!!" then during the piano segment he did that damn song. i sat my ass down and so did half of avery fisher hall. then there was the xenophobia celebration oh lawd what a fucking week!!! this is the tour prince needs 2 do again, small, intimate, just 4 the hardcore so he doesn't have 2 feel regulated 2 do the hits anymore Stop rubbing it in ... Saw him at the Paramount theatre in Oakland. The show was great, but like everyone else if you were part of the club you got to attend the soundshow check which was a real treat. I remember at one point during the soundcheck his fans were shouting out songs to sing and he shot back something to the effect it was his house and he'll choose his own songs.Anyway it made everyone laugh. I also remember him playing a few songs during soundcheck that were not part of the regular one night alone set so that was a treat as well. Not to mention if you were part of the club you pretty much got the best seats in the house for the shows.

Houston and then Dallas the next day.
Sound Check in Houston was really cool. Prince sat on the edge of the stage and talk with NPGMC members and gave us about a 40 minutes of music before the show. In Dallas though there was a Tornado and NPGMC members had to go to the basement for the sound check. When we finally got to go in, they were playing Bambi. I sat on the first row for both. Also, during Xenophobia he did that show again on one of the nights "What's the hurry 2 die without tryin?
If u could sell ur worries would anyone buy'em?"

I Loved it....except I missed the end...due to hiding by the backstage door in the freezing cold. That was real funny. I was the only person that Prince needed his entire staff to protect him. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Ya was at the same show Dolorespark was in Oakland. I remember some guy wanted to give prince a picture gift during the soundcheck and Prince simply refused it even after the guy left it on the stage. Prince made him come back to the stage to retrieve it. No aftershow for us here in the Bay Area.

London Hammersmith - just awesome, loved hearing Muse 2 the P live and he played some rare shit that night.
Then flew out some weeks later to see him again at Le Zenith Paris, with my future wife, and we got stranded in Paris because a storm busted up the Eurotunnel. The gig was brilliant, and great to see him live in another country, the French loved this set. Shame I didn;t know Paris better and knew how to get to Bataclan, but I have the boot! Fabulous memories of a great tour, only surpassed by seeing his Indigo2 aftershow when he played Dorothy Parker, 2 feet away from me, wearing THAT hat =fonki!

NOTHING will ever top the NYC experience. The amazing soundsheck, the amazing show, and then the amazing aftershow at the world club, i was dead center for all, and of the 75 times i have seen the man THIS WAS HIS BEST, and his best band ever "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

[Edited 4/20/09 16:30pm] Tuna, Get Funky He remembers everything. He always says people he met were how gentle to him. We went to US for Prince concerts - Musicology tour, 3121 in Vegas and 3concerts in Minneapolis on 2007.(But Tuna didn't go to 3concerts. Instead he went to the Super Bowl in Miami) Now we hope Prince will do his concert in this summer. OK, I tell Tuna say hi to you guys here ONA Tour was like Prince Festival or Real Dream for me. and he was like a Funky Tornado... Don't you think it is so wonderful that you can meet him in our own country everyday?
