wonderful ass (1986 outtake ... )

is one of my favorite tracks. there's nothing like that classic sound. the stuff from 86 is so unbelievable ...

it's crazy to believe that he was doing stuff like this 23 years ago and he's still going strong.

pardon me if i'm wrong, but i believe the 1986 version we have is actually basically a remixed/reworked version that Wendy & Lisa did of an earlier track. (82/83?)

nod Recorded early 1983, worked on in early 1986 by W&L.

There was a vid of another band covering this tune on youtube..its gone now but even today this track is amazing.

The basic track sounds 1983-ish. Thats when Prince had the Linn drum tunings kinda low and that flanger sound loud in the mix

that flanger/phaser -> drums sound is magnificent. he should have put out dj records with just the breaks from all those '83 tracks.
