where were u living at the time?

I've been to Paisley twice and I was living in Chicago at the time.

Went to the Park, nice sound system....

About...9 years ago, I was in Europe and I met this couple from Minneapolis.

The woman saw me listening to my (then freshly purchased) "Small Club" bootleg and told me she lived near Paisley Park.

I tried emailing 'em when I got back home, but the email address they gave me kept bouncing back.

Maybe they just gave me a fake one.

Oh well, it's all good, I hold no grudges!

Yup, i used to live there... Well atlesat my name badge said so...

When i worked at a Marriott in Connecticut, they had us put were we where from on the name tag underneath our name. When they where making my badge i told them i'm from Paisley Park, MN. and so my name said

Paisley Park, MN.


Nobody ever got it. Except people from MN. How always would crack up at me for doing that. and laugh harder when i told them i never been to Paisley Park or even MN.

yep been to the park 8 times !

I went to Paisley Park in April of 2001. No one was there, I looked in the front window.

went ot the 1st celebration. Words can't describe how good it was.

I went there to just see it on a weekend getaway with my friend. Never been inside though I was too young to go to any of the Celebrations...I'm still ticked off about that!

I've been to the Park dozens of times! Back in 95 and 96 he sometimes played three of four times a week. then pretty regular on Fridays and Saturdays. Then pretty regular through the early 2000's I have been to all the celebrations. I was at both nights of taping for the Rave un2 the Year 2000 DVD (and am in at least one crowd shot on there! Ah.... those were the days!!

When moving back from the US to the UK last year, my wife and I took a trans-American drive from New York, up to Canada, across to Wyoming then down to Colorado.

And since we were so far north, we took some time to visit MPLS, and on our way out of town, just because I had to, we drove to Paisley Park.

Parked briefly in the car park, took two photos, tried the front door (but it was locked), jumped back in the car and drove off (feeling guilty).

Was amazed at just how sleepy the place is - it really is in just a big business park - all that funkiness from the most anonymous place in the world.

Which makes you think its really all just from him - which is somewhat scary...

I have been to Paisley Park 4 times.. All of the Celebrations ..

Yes, I have, for the celebrations that Prince had in the 2001 and 2002 (did not go to the one he had in 2000, and now I regret it). I flew from Cleveland to Minneapolis. I wish Prince would go back to doing them again, they were great fun! I have so many great memories of the music and the awesome people that I met and got to chat with! It's sad that Prince no longer has them anymore.



That's me with Paisley Park in the background. The tents that you see were all different places where you could buy food. The veggie burgers were surprisingly good!

Prince was having late night dance parties for free and seving food and soft drinks and selling some of his items shirts, cds, hats, etc.. Prince even showed up about an hour into the music. Just came down the cat walk looked around danced than left.
